THE CITY OF GLEN COVE announces that there is a part-time position in the Police Department with the Auxiliary Police.

Price per hour:    $15.00 per hour. When closing a school crossing guard post, the hour paid is double the hour of the school crossing point.

Working Hours: Work assignments vary. Up to 20 hours a week. This position requires 24/7 emergency response, plus patrols, Church/Temple crossings, beach closures, special event parades, monthly meetings. Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Since this position is part-time, there is no insurance or vacation benefits. However, all city employees are eligible to participate in the New York State Retirement System.
