Requirements For Enlisting In The Army
The purpose of this study is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of military recruiting resources and policies. The theoretical model was evaluated based on the military recruitment experience. Using this model, a tool was developed for the Army to evaluate alternative courses of action and optimize the level and mix of resources based on alternative recruitment objectives, labor market conditions, and recruitment eligibility policies. Understanding how recruiting resources and recruiting eligibility policies work together as a system under different recruiting requirements and environments is critical for decision makers seeking to use their limited resources to efficiently and effectively meet the military’s entry requirements. The recruiting resource model developed in this report considers the relationship between the monthly level and the mix of recruiting resources, recruiting eligibility policies, accrued contracts and training camp goals. It models how these factors combine to produce monthly enrollments and the number of employment contracts at the end of a fiscal year that are projected for the following fiscal year.
