Working with military recruiters is the first step to enlistment. Recruiters are familiar with the service and can help guide you through the process and make important decisions.
There is no obligation when dealing with recruiters. They will help you determine if the military is right for you and help you identify career opportunities in the service that may be of interest to you if you apply.

Army Mes Recruitment: 10 Steps To Joining The Military Engineering Services
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is an aptitude test that helps soldiers narrow down the level of employment for which they are suitable. It is designed to assess your skills in a range of areas including maths, science, language and technical skills such as electronics, automotive and mechanical skills.
The Advanced Placement Qualification Test (AFQT) is part of the ASVAB exam. Applicants usually need a score of at least 31 on the AFQT unless otherwise noted.
To join the military, you must pass—and always pass—the Armed Forces Combat Test (ACFT). The test consists of six parts: time limit, standing power throw, push-up, push-up, plank ride and two-kilometer run.
Once you’ve completed your basic training, it’s time to begin your on-the-job training. This is officially known as your occupational specialty (MOS). There are more than 200 different jobs in the field, including mechanical, construction, science, medical, aviation, air defense, and more.

To enlist in the military, you take the Enlistment Oath, which is an oath to defend the Constitution for the rest of your life. If you join as an officer, you choose to take an oath.
One of the most popular aspects of the military recruiting process is basic training, which lasts 10 weeks and aims to turn soldiers into soldiers not only physically, but also mentally.
You will learn about Army values and traditions, how to care for weapons, safety and combat essentials, participate in running and recreational exercises. Later in basic training you will move on to signalling, then tactical training, leadership skills and teamwork.
Recruits take the Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) to assess their physical and mental abilities. The Army Training Test, sometimes called the Military PT Test, is first administered during basic training.
Requirements To Join The Navy
To make fitness training a much-discussed change in 2022, the service launched an update to the Army’s ACFT standards. The biggest specific change was the change in scores for men and women in different categories. The stirrups were also removed, replaced by wooden ones, as a measure of life force.

The ACFT army is divided into “six elements”. These are three-rep max, standing strength, freehand press, pull-up press, plank and two-kilometer run. The test should be done in order. The ACFT is designed to be completed in 70 minutes or less.
For example, a 17- to 21-year-old soldier should lift 120-210 pounds, while a male soldier should lift 140-340 pounds. At the same pace, female soldiers must run two kilometers between 15:29 and 23:22 minutes, while male soldiers must run between 13:22 and 22 minutes.
