After attending the information session, you will receive an email with additional information about the Medical Technology program application process. Log in to the “My” section and fill out the ONLINE application below. Paper applications will not be accepted. First, complete as much of the application as possible. Our surgical technology program is designed to prepare full-time adult students with the fundamental skills needed to become productive members of the surgical team. You will learn how to prepare an operating room, including surgical instruments and supplies, instruments for surgical procedures, and the use of aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. The Associate of Science in Surgical Technology in Applied Science degree program is designed to prepare individuals to work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical staff in providing patient care and assuming related responsibilities before, during, and after surgery. The primary role of the surgical technician is to maintain a sterile field while ensuring that all other members of the surgical team maintain asepsis.
